Had a great night with the ladies. I apologies for my absence of late, but i've been busy with married life.lol it takes some getting use to thats for sure..lol But alhamdullillah its amazing.!
Moving on though, yesterday was our photo shoot for our new collection. I know i havent spoken about it but i do have a clothing company that caters to muslims gals. This is my personal blog so i dont for the most part like mixing the two. In any case the shoot was amazingly fun, and afterwards we had a good old time at my favourite restaurant.
This was taken at the photoshoot, jus love the colorss..yummm

Friend is looking at the menu, pretending like we all dont know what we want
I HEART THIS DRINK SOO MUCH, Pina Colada

DIY - Hijab Puff

I recently came across a DIY from youtube about making your own hijab underpiece.  I had bought a few of the clip-on underpieces when I was last in Dubai (which you can see in the above picture).  But after my friend broke the last one I owned....I decided it was time to give that tutorial a go!  The results? A great hijab puff that's easy to use!  Since I've been getting quite a few questions on how I keep my hijab 'volumized', I thought....why not let my readers in on the fun too.  The process is quick, easy and fabulously affordable.  I especially need these little 'poofs' under my hijab since I recently cut my hair to chin length and there is little hair to help keep my hijab looking 'full'.  I recorded the steps and made a step by step for y'all to enjoy! If its a success for you, let me know how it goes.

You will need:
1. A loofah
2. An elastic
3. Scissors
I bought my loofah from the dollar store.
You can use either one or two, depending on how big you like your 'hump'.
I used one and it sufficed.

Step 1: Cut the rope holding the loofah together.

You will get a result like the one on the left.
Here you can see what the loofah looks like before and after being cut.

Step 2: After cutting the loofah, put your hand through the entire length of it.
Keep pulling until the loofah is all the way through.

Step 3: Grab you elastic and pull it through the length of the loofah
so that there is one end of the elastic on each end of the loofah.

...pull the elastic all the way through...

You should be able to grab one side of each elastic

Step 4: Tie a double knot.
Thats it! your final product should look like the one above.

Fluff it up to your desired 'puffiness'

This is your new scrunchie hijab puff.  Tie your hair into a ponytail and wrap this around your ponytail.
Can't wait to see the results you guys all get!
So there you have it.  I hope you guys enjoyed that. I was pleasantly surprised with the results.  I'm sure you will be too.

Laugh, Love

Okaaaay, My friend msgs me up and asks me whats one word that has a special meaning to me.. To start off with that was a very random question. A Question that involves thought process should not be asked to anyone after 11pm, there should be a law or something against that (ugh). Anyway as she PINGED my phone to death i finally had to respond, (unwillingly though). Hmm, it was actually a lot more difficult than i already anticipated. So i think long and hard and come up with the word "persist".....Brilliant i know...(pat on the back). .... A few weeks later she comes to me with a picture frame with the words "rest". I was literally baffled. Why in Gods name do i have a picture frame and to top it off why does it have rest on it.. I think should this mean something,,,,,,I look at it questioningly and she says "remember that day i asked you for a word, well it turns out the word you picked was to long so here you go.. REST.. Take it and go.....LOOL

I  mean even though she didnt hit the mark with the gift, it was verrrry thoughtful, and its a good reminder that sometimes we just gotta kick back and "rest"

(its the thought that counts)...  I HEART IT

Black and White with a bit of POP

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI made me fall in love again. The new spring collection is nothing short of SPECTACULAR.

Tell me this isnt the prettiest color.. *sigh*

INNER WHAT?

Okay, so my biggest quest right now is to get a hold of those hijabs that make you look like a cone head, usually worn underneath something. I've been searching the depths of the internet with no luck. No one wants to ship to Canada, ugh! I recently came across it while going through blogs from sisters in indonesia. If i'm not mistaken i think they refer to it as an inner neck..Or maybe i'm just making that up, but i need one.

Calling out all Inner Necks- Come out Come out wherever you are...

She Haunts me in my dreams!!!

Life Without....

Its weird how dependant we are on certain things. It started off with maybe just one thing and slowly that list grew big enough that it has forced me to carry a bigger bag. The more things i started needing the bigger the bag got. Soon i'll be lugging around a suitcase at the rate i'm going. Anyway this isn't going to be a post about whats in my bag but rather the fact that my bag is so much bigger than my shoulders are willing to carry!
